Bad managment - :-) - Mala gestión

I'm sorry about haven't posted recently, but i've been having some personal problems with some of those friends that make you don't need enemies.

This is the first post about books. The most of the books about management and marketing teach how to have success in business. It’s interesting how to be successful managing a company (and funny to think about the writers of those books that know how to manage every business but don’t manage any one :-)), but I think it’s also interesting to know about some of the big errors businesspeople has made.
“The misfortune 500. Featuring the Business Hall of Shame” by Bruce Nash and Allan Zulo compilates some of the funniest errors in the history of management: explosive fruit juice (literally), a new taste for Coke (and its consequent fall in sales), a records company rejected The Beatles and other company reject their candies to appear in the film “ET”… And so much more

University Marketing - Marketing universitario

I'm starting my Economics lecturers tomorrow, and I have wrote a post about Universities and marketing.

Do you know you can buy a degree by internet? The only use you can give to an Internet-bought diploma is to decorate an empty wall or fill your CV with fake stuff. There’s a good article in the wikipedia about it.
The most of the universities know that problem and understand that students are going to spend a lot of money and time (probably more valuable) in their degree are interested in differentiate their effort from the “diploma mills clients”. The Spanish universities probably have a delay with this new way of understand the market of education. When a University does publicity it’s trying to establish its name like a brand, its saying to the prospective students: hey! If you come here the employers will ever recognize your degree as a valid one.

The best support I can imagine for publicity.

The Japanese real state bubble still has consequences - La burbuja inmobiliaria japonesa todavía tiene consecuencias

(The NY Times) Recently I wrote about the Big Risk of the Spanish Economy. The situation in Japan in the late 80s was so similar. People bought their home, and now, they can't change it for another better.

The big risk of the Spanish Economy - El gran riesgo de la economía española

In the latest years the two engines of the Spanish Growth have been the Building Sector (11.6% of GDP) and the Consumption. The “wealth effect” by the increments in the real state prices has made the population increase their consumption. This consumption has been boosted with the lowest interest rates known in Spain of the last decades.
The German Economy has started to recovery from its crisis. The German confidence has increased and its economy looks starting to take of. The European Central Bank (ECB) has started to raise the interest rates.
In Spain the most of the mortgages are fixed at a variable rate. Increases in the ECB interests rates, means the Spanish homes will have less money to spend in goods and services. A decrease in the consumption is be bad for the employment and will eliminate one of the two Spanish engines.
The other engine, the building sector, depends of the employment. Unemployed people can’t buy homes. If there is a decrease in the homes sold the constructors probably will stop building homes or they would build less. If fewer homes are built, less people will be employed in the Building sector.
