In the Spanish TV they’re broadcasting a TV spot of the new VW Passat. I liked the music and when I visited the web page looking for the author I was surprised because I could
download the song from VW’s website for free. (in Spanish). Two or three years ago a Japanese brand produced a song to promote its car. In the web page they offered to download the music sending after paying for it with a SMS from your mobile. The lyrics of the song mention the name of the car. It means they wanted customers pay for listen the name of their product, are they mad? Am I going to listen the name of your car thirty times and you want I pay for it? Are you kidding me Sir?
I’m not sure if the context has changed in 2 years or the publicists from VW are cleverer, but that customers prefer it’s obvious.
